Ho’oponopono training is an ancient technique from Hawaii used to clear negativity by reconnecting with the Divine. It has been recently popularized by Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len and Dr. Joe Vitale in their book Zero Limits. It’s very simple, and skeptics say it’s too good to be true, but the evidence shows it has worked for many people!
The basic idea behind Ho’oponopono training is that we must accept full responsibility for everything that happens in our lives. This is where most people give up on it, because it’s true we don’t try to create problems on purpose. But our subconscious thoughts work in mysterious ways. They are often at the backs of our minds pulling in negativity that we actually don’t want.
Dr. Hew Len suggests that our minds are only influenced by two things: memories and inspirations. Memories are these subconscious thoughts we keep playing over and over in our minds, which are the cause of stressful and painful emotions. Inspiration occurs when we erase those memories and reconnect with our Divine source.
Ho’oponopono training is the process of creating inspiration and erasing these memories. As you focus on your problems, recite these four simple phrases: “I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.”
By doing this you are speaking to the Divine, essentially saying, “I take full responsibility for these problems in my life, even if I don’t know how I created them, Please clear these memories and make my situation right again. Thank you, I love you.”
